Upgrade VMware Tools during power cycling One of Sysadmin task in VM environment is to keep VMware Tools. VMware recommends that administrators keep up to date with the latest updates to proactively avoid problems, resolve bugs, reduce downtime, and close security vulnerabilities.   The regular procedure is open console, click VM, Guest,  "Install/Upgrade VMware Tools".  install from CD/DVD on the VM and reboot .   Other way is via PowerCLI using "update-Tools" command. Update-Tools -VM "VM_NAME" You can set  "Check and upgrade tools during power cycling" so every power cycling VM check and auto upgrade VMware tools. How to set this option?
