How to resolve missing Application tab during restore operation in Windows Backup

During restore operation in Exchange 2010, the “Application Tab” may be missing. This issue usually occur if you installed the Windows Backup software after completing Exchange 2010 installation. How to delete VSS provider‏

a.     Log to the server with local admin account. b.     Backup the "System State" of the server. c.     Run the command: "vssadmin list providers" d.     From step "C", obtain the GUID ID of the VSS provider that need to be delete. ·         Note: Do not delete the key - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Providers\{b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}  - that is used by Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy service. e.     Backup the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Providers\<GUID> f.      Delete the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Providers\<GUID> g.     Reboot the server (recommanded) or use the following commands to restart the Shadow Copy service: "C:\>net stop vss & net start vss" and verify that the Shadow Copy services was started successfully.The Volume Shadow Copy service is stopping.The...
