Pre-requisite: 1. Extracted ISO of Windows 7 / Windows 2008 R2. 2. A clean Disk on key. Renaming Exchange 2007/2010 Edge server name may lead to Exchange Edge server failure

After reaming Exchange 2007/2010 Edge server name, the Exchange Edge may fail (e.g. Exchange Transport service wouldn’t be started etc..). Although this issue isn't documented as I know, I found that the Exchange Edge server cant access to local MS-ADLS (Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services). Reverting to the old server name wouldn't be useful. Note:  The same issue may appear if you change the Primary DNS Suffix and/or Workgroup name.
