Changing DirSync synchronization interval

Hi everyone,

Recently I have found that Office365 Admins often need to push synchronization changes from their  local Active Directory  to the cloud and the default interval is set to 3 hours or  you can manually push the changes by using PowerShell command Start-OnlineCoexistence at the DirsyncConfigShell which is located

C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Active Directory Sync by default.

Another option is to reduce the time interval  from 3 hours to less, lets assume we want to reduce it to 1 hour.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Active Directory Sync\    take a backup of Microsoft.Online.DirSync.Scheduler.exe and than edit it with any text editor and modify the  following line

add key=”SyncTimeInterval” value=”3:0:0″ and change it to   add key=”SyncTimeInterval” value=”1:0:0 after modifying save and exit  and don’t forget to restart the  Windows Azure Active Directory Sync Service,

Enjoy.
