Only half-a-day using my new Acer tablet pc which we got in PDC. It is ON since noon, without recharging the battery, and only half of it is gone… It's so fun and easy to work with, that I can't remember why I ever used a "normal" laptop before! Will it make me give up my "old" laptop? I don't think so. It's not strong enough for writing code. But, it IS strong enough for everything else. This is not a net book but rather quite a nice machine in a small package...

As was announced during the PDC keynote , all PDC attendees received a free PDC Convertible Tablet Laptop with an accompanying license for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Of course, in order to get the laptop you had to stand in a long line, but fortunately the representatives at distribution desk worked very efficiently and the line moved pretty quickly. This laptop is an Acer Inspire 1420P which is an 11.6” Multi-Touch machine, and it looks like a very nice one. I hope I’ll have some time to try it...

Well, it’s almost 2:00 AM here in Los-Angeles, and the first day of the PDC is almost over. It was quite a busy day, constantly running from one side of the convention center to the other in order to get to sessions in time, posting blog posts as soon as possible after a session is over, going through the Sela booth to help and trying to get something to eat in between. So far I am expriencing PDC09 much differently than any other conference I’ve ever participated. You can get more details from Noam’s and Alex's blog, he is a great writer :-) Ray also announced Dallas CTP for discovery, exploring and using data in a new way. We are here, 20 people from Sela Group, wearing blue, waiting for the PDC 09 keynote to begin. The hall is full of people, and there are many other entering, seeking a seat. Comparing to PDC 08, there are less people, and its of course due to the economic situation, but the decoration here in the hall is awesome, and we’ve already got 3D glasses… I’m too curious to know why. Today was our 3rd day at LA.
