This week I tried to deploy Google Chrome update using SCCM, it was a very critical update which's also recommended for you as, get some information about this update:
Google Chrome update: 71.0.3578.98:https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/12/stable-channel-update-for-desktop_12.html
We had two simple steps for deploying this update, First, we've created a simple query which shows us the Google Chrome version less then 71.0.3578.98, -Here is the relevant query:
select * from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64 on SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64.DisplayName = "Google Chrome" and SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64.Version < "71.0.3578.98"
Second, we created a collection based on this query.
And the last step was deploying the update, but during deployment,...
Hey folks,During the exchange decommission task I suppose to remove the hybrid configuration in the on-premises environment, consecutively I've decided to make a simple procedure which shows you how to Remove the Hybrid Configuration Stet by Step.
Before we start with the removal process I want to note two points:
* Make sure there is no email in queues.* Make sure any domain DNS records are pointed to your Office 365 tenant.Regarding the AD Connect, There is no impact to AD sync at all, The synchronization keep working properly.Let's begin guys!
First, go to Organization Configuration < "Organization Relationship":Right click on the existing relationship...
I want to introduce you the Microsoft Intune service with his abilities that I've checked recently, It is not a secret that Microsoft strongly pushing the Microsoft Intune and improves it rapidly, to be honey they are doing amazing job over there, I have found some new great features that I am going to show you.
Basically, Microsoft Intune is cloud-based service which allows us managing Mobile and Windows 10 devices via Intune along with that, we definitely can set devices management strategy policies and even deploy applications to our devices, make sure and devices and apps are compliant...
Over the week I had a small project of Office 365 migration, another satisfied customer decided to move into Office 365 in Hybrid mode.
After I configured all Office 365 prerequisites and HCW, I started with my basic tests and migrated individual mailboxes, after all the preparations passed successfully we decided to migrate 20 mailboxes on one batch.
The "Automatically complete the migration batch" option wasn't clicked and we had to wait until all mailboxes will complete the sync process.
So in my case, during the migration, only 15 mailboxes have completed syncing and 5 left and still syncs with on-premises However due to some...
If you plan to migrate your Exchange environment to Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016, you may be considering configure the DAG - database availability group which copies the databases from server to server and allowing availability between Exchange databases using Fail Over Cluster role and Active manager component, The Idea is very simple guys, you need two Exchange server with the same version likewise 2016 servers and another witness (DAG quorum settings path folder), as the following illustration:
Note: Make sure you set the same drive letters on both servers.
Note: You can't mix Exchange 2013 servers and Exchange 2016 servers in the same DAG.
Oh god, thank you Microsoft:), finally, we got this! as a built-in feature in the ConfigMgr, and for those who are wondering about the System Center Update Publisher - it is not needed anymore.
Introduce the new feature "Third-Party Software Updates" which available in 1806 update and allow us to deploy third-party updates to your computers.
In the long term and next updates for sure, they will add more repositories and new flexibilities for this feature! apparently, if you have some third party software which deploys third-party updates, in soon you are going to give up about it so don't rush renew the support...
Hey guys, this week I wasted a lot of time on DHCP database repairing troubleshooting, my customer tried to recover the DHCP server from Veeam back, and After recovering the server he has tried to start DHCP server and got an error that the service can't be started, we tried restoring the DHCP from built-in backup as well however we weren't able to start server correctly.
The only way I found to fix it, is to remove content under "C:\Windows\System32\dhcp", and then the service could start up successfully, but what is the problem with this workaround? all DHCP scopes have been...
These days, I am checking the new SCCM 1806 update and revealed some new great features!, I and many system center guys were waiting for this update, this update contains new features and the most incredible feature they have release is Enable SCCM PXE without WDS, yes as you heard, we can deploy task sequences and deploy them without WDS services.
Let's see how we should enable this and what comes instead of WDS.
Go to your DP's and right click, and then select properties:
Check the: “Enable a PXE responder without windows deployment service”.
Once you enabled it. you should wait 10-20 minutes and then the...
Last week I had Hyper-V project of my customers which purchased two new Hosts and we should have replaced them with HP hosts, during host configuration we couldn't enable live migration on a specific host and got the following error:
Failed to modify service settings
Faile to enable live migration
The only way I found to fix it is by:
Renaming C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol to C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.polx
As soon as you've renamed that file, go back to "Live MIgration" settings and enable it again, you will notice that new "Registry.pol" will be created successfully.
And obviously, you can run "Live Migration" to machines perfectly.
