Evgeny Panor just finished first version of VS2005 AddIn which allow VSS like "Get Latest Version on CheckOut" functionality. We know that it is one of the most common requests from VSTS adopters. It will be supported in the next version. For now you can use this add in.

Outlook 2007 TFS Addin

After a lot of questions and promises, I finally found some time to complete Outlook2007 version of TFS Addin. Some new features in this version:

Attachments now transmitted from email to created work item
Search field accept free text to be found in Work Item title
Configuration stored now in local user file instead of registry which allow to use addin with low credentials

Known issues:

When installed on machine without Team Explorer, addin fails to display WorkItems links. I am currently investigating this problem.

Outlook 2003 TFS Addin

This simple Outlook 2003 Addin allows to create, view and edit Team System work items from Outlook. Unlike TeamLook, it is not a commercial product, but we are using it on many sites for quite some time, and now decided to share it. A lot of thank coming to Nir Kovalio for actually doing most of the work.

Known issues:

While installing, the installer try to add a security access code to the working folder.
If you got an error message, you can add it manually:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CasPol.exe -machine -addgroup All_Code -url c:\ Program Files\SRL Group\TFSOutlookAddin/* FullTrust -n "TFS outlook Addin"
Make sure to you pass the actual path to TFSOutlookAddin directory

TFS Permission Manager (zip)
