בקרוב שוב נעדכן את הגדרות שעון החורף והקיץ עבור SharePoint וכמו כל שנה אני מצרפת את השינויים שיש לבצע עבור SharePoint בגרסאות השונות. השנה שעון הקיץ ייכנס לתוקף ב-28.3.2014 2:00 ויסתיים ב-26.10.2014 2:00. באופן עקרוני מידי שנה יש לעדכן את קובץ ה-Timezone.xml עם ההגדרות המתאימות לאותה שנה. השנה הפרמטרים זהים לשנה שעברה, לכן הפעולה היחידה שצריך לבצע היא העתקת המידע של שנה שעברה לתגית ההיסטוריה. להן השינויים שיש לבצע בקובץ עבור כל גרסה. כמה הערות חשובות: - בכל מקרה, שמרו עותק של הקובץ המקורי (Timezone.xml). - אם אתם עושים copy paste מהפוסט הזה שימו לב לגרשיים ורווחים. - את הקובץ יש לעדכן על כל...

Lately I had a customer that one if his users experience the following error on the first time he have access the Newsfeed page: "There was a problem retrieving the latest activity. Please try again later. Technical Details SharePoint returned the following error: A required SharePoint feature is not enabled. Internal type name: Microsoft.Office.Server.Microfeed.MicrofeedException. Internal error code: 46. Contact your system administrator for help in resolving this problem." MOSS 2007: Missing “Select a Language” dropdown when creating new sites after language pack installation

Yes, I know that MOSS 2007 is quite old but I think it worth mentioning. I had a case today of a customer that installed new environment of MOSS 2007. In MSDN you can download the English installation with SP2. My customer used this installation and then installed Service Pack 3 (WSS+Server). Then he have installed Hebrew Language Pack Service Pack 3 and tried to create new site collection in Hebrew. However, at that point he has discovered that he was missing the site the “Select a language” drop down. The language pack itself was also missing...

Setting display language for all users under every site
