I actually received a recommendation about the GetDataBack software that you linked to. Someone I know used it successfully to restore a drive that had its filesystem corrupted.

Stay tuned for my upcoming post about how I managed to restore the files from my WD MyBook World Edition. I hope I manage to also bring the drive back online but that's going to be a bit trickier.

Just like you, I had years of personal photos on it.

I didn't even bother contacting WD representatives, as it was clear to me that they won't try to save my data. Since then it's waiting for me to find time to do what you plan todo. Back at the time, a friend of mine recommended me to try this software: www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

If you find a solution that works for you, I would love to know :)

Good luck!

> It certainly won't in courage me to buy the product.

The Devexpress Menu is disabled for the free Products...Coderush Xpress (also RefactorVB etc).

I believe this was by request of Microsoft who promote these products on their own site.

This menu should not hide itself when the full version of Coderush is installed. This should go for the trial also.

If I see a statement in PascalCase such as

x=Price * z.

I can make an assumption that Price is a function.

If I see

x=price*z

It becomes less clear - is it a method or a value.

You only gain the knowledge the method is private - you're looking at the class anyway - you can see the method definition.

Refactoring becomes a pain.
