While doing the casual "who are the friends of my friends?" tour in facebook this evening, I was startled to see this: OMG!, thought I to myself - now anyone who visits this profile can see that I was the last person to browse it before them. Luckily, this wouldn't have been too embarrassing since this was the profile of someone I knew, but what if it was someone who didn't know me? Once the panic subsided, two thoughts came to mind . … doesn't mean they're not out to get you. Did you know that the FBI can spy on you by remotely activating your cellphone's microphone to listen in on conversations around you? What's more, this has been affirmed by a U.S. District Judge! How scary is that? Is it constitutional? And how can this even be technically possible? Yikes! Check it out, I'm test running Snap Preview Anywhere on my blog right here. It's a new service from the Snap search engine. Now, whenever your mouse hovers over a link in one of my posts you get an instant thumbnail preview of the contents of that link. You can see for yourself by hovering over the above two links.
