function SwitchTab(src, args){

    alert(src.get_activeTab()._tabIndex);

The main differnce between the two (besides the horrid competition feeling in tau or the lack of grass in mta) is that at the college you have more optional practical courses than at the uni.

I've started working with a technion graduate. His theoretical knowledge was greater than mine at some aspects, but when it came to delivering the goods - you couldn't compare my practical abilities with his.

Only regret I have, getting into Weismann for MSc will be harder. But doable.

True - some colleges are crap. But some have earned their names in the industry. Besides, the tuition at MTA is regular academic tuition. And many of the teachers we have also teach in TAU and technion.

No disrespects to uni graduates. But don't underestimate us as well.

The problem is that they _are_ preaching on engineering practices of developing software, but from a poisoned point of view.

You're studying computer science. This has more to do with computation theory and math than with the engineering practices of developing software.
