As you know the Beta version of Visual Studio 11 is out, Visual Studio 11 comes with many great improvements for Testers, Developers and Product Managers.
In this post I’ll focus on what new in Microsoft Test Manager 11.
Let start from Html support for Test Steps: (Thanks YOU!!!)
And FULL html support in Html Fields, the big issue here is: you can now add pictures to any Html Field (still not for Test Steps)
On the Test Menu you can set the Test Case result without running the test.
The Plan Result changed and now you can filter your plan results based on Test Suites, Test Configuration and by Tester.
And of course one of the biggest improvements is Exploratory Testing – and I’ll talk about it in my next post.
What isn't there:
Still if you want to run Tests on Mac, Linux or clean environment you Can’t because MTM is still a desktop program.
Although Microsoft has improve the TFS Web Interface it’s still not possible to work with Test Plan, Suites or Test Cases from the Web.
As you know Sela has develop a solution for that, a solution that serve many customers running Tests from the Web, For that reason WTM (Web Test Manager) I’ll be available in TFS 11 to allow you running Test every where!

Will WTM be able to be adapted to other project templates (e.g. scrum for team systems 3.0)?
Sure!
can one disable the feature that the tester can set the state of a test case without executing the test?
