Hi Shai..

This a great addin, thanks for sharing it with the community. Unfortunately when I install and run it i get the error when I click on  the form control button. I tried debugging the application in Visual studio and here is the error details:

Error:

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception was unhandled

Message: The parameter is incorrect

And the stack trace:

"   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.MarshaledInvoke(Control caller, Delegate method, Object[] args, Boolean synchronous)\r\n   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method, Object[] args)\r\n   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method)\r\n   at WitIt.FormRegion.bg_connect_RunWorkerCompleted(Object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e)\r\n   at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnRunWorkerCompleted(RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e)\r\n   at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.AsyncOperationCompleted(Object arg)\r\n   at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.WaitCallback_Context(Object state)\r\n   at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state)\r\n   at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallbackInternal(_ThreadPoolWaitCallback tpWaitCallBack)\r\n   at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback(Object state)"

Also, When i click on the settings button or any of the buttons in the ribbon, nothing happens. Any help would be very much appreciated

I am not sure where to find the "Settings" window. can you help me with that ?

Thanks,

Remon

Hi,

I tried to install Wit-it! 1.4

The installation went through with no issues.

However nothing appear in Outlook (I m using 2007).

I went to the installation folder:

C:\Program Files\Shai Raiten\Wit-It!

and try to run the "WitIt.vsto"

Then I got the following error:

*************************************************

Name: WitIt

From: file:///C:/Program Files/Shai Raiten/Wit-It!/WitIt.vsto

Reference in the manifest does not match the identity of the downloaded assembly WitIt.dll.

*************************************************

After checking the assembly file the WitIt.dll is still refering to version 1.0.0.0

I tried to modify manually the manifest, but the system saw that I modified it :-(

Can we get a new install "Setup.msi" with an updated manifest.

Thanks

In fact I had to leave my windows session for Outlook to load the Add-in.

Now, it appears in the "Message" ribbon.

However, when I click on it, nothing occurs.

Hello,

Maybe you already got this message multiple times, I was trying the contact button on the blog, but there was no feedback from the site if the comment was sent or not. Let me post my original message:

Hello,

Wit-It! is a great tool! Love it!

I'd like to create work items based on calendar invitations (On the CMMI project template there is the Review work item type where I can select the attendees). But when I'm creating a new appointment or meeting request in Outlook, the Wit-It! ribbon doesn't show up. Is there any way I can fix it?

Looking forward hearing from you,

Best Regards,

Levente Rög

Hi Shai,

what about support for Outlook 2010 and a bugfix for that old NullReference-exception I once mailed you?

Thanks,

Martin

Trying to run the installer and have installed the 3.0 tools runtime, but the installer continues to report it is not present (removed, re-added, rebooted ... try-again)

Environment (Win7, Office2007, VS2008)

It's a great tool I have used in the past and would like to use it now. If you know of a work around it would be helpful.
