July 2009 - Posts
Due to the fact that many participants (and lecturers) are on vacations or getting ready for one and working 24h because of that :-) I’ve decided to skip the Meeting of August and we’ll continue on as usual on September.
I’ll blog another post later on about the next meeting.
In the meanwhile, stay cool…
Wasn’t it just great if we could write code without having to satisfy those … well, how do you call them? … Users :-)
When we have a lot of demands from users, and seriously speaking, have tons of work we need to have our hands on, and sadly we never have much time to do it, then we just striving for some cool and fast way to save us, and.. you guessed right, I’m talking about the jQuery libraries.
This Sunday Vlad Azarkin is going to teach you how use this
wonderful tool called jQuery , how to squeeze a lot of juicy staff from it, and practly he’ll help you a lot on your daily work.
The session will include some basics and some advanced staff so it’s just a great session for every web developer.

Hope to see you there,
A few hours ago I got an email from Microsoft announcing that I got the MVP award !
“The award is given to exceptional technical community leaders who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with others”
I’m really excited about this award, especially after more than 10 years of contributing to the developers community, doing everything I can to help developers with consulting, training, lecturing and for a year and a half managing the Web Developers Community (WDC).
Be sure that this award is just filling up my batteries to continue contributing to the developers community in Israel and abroad.
I want to take this opportunity to thank a few people who made this possible:
- Guy Burstein of Microsoft Israel who nominated me to the MVP program. Guy often shows that you can be both a friend and a professional.
- Alon Fliess (C++ MVP) who I know and appreciate for many years, and he is one of the brightest developers I encountered.
- Ronen Samooha of Microsoft DPE who I also know for many years and deeply appreciate for the great job he is doing in Microsoft.
- Yosi Taguri who I had the honor to work with for a long time, and who was the one that made this site what it is today.
- Sela Group – In my line of work, spending most of my time lecturing and consulting in a variety of companies, I always feel that there is just no place like Sela. The encourage to learn all the time, the professionals whom I work with and the endless support is what kept me going there for all these years.
Needless to say that I’ll continue doing everything I’ve done till now and more.
