Thank you all for attending my session on ASP.NET 3.5 at Microsoft (03/06/2009).
VS2008 is a great platform for creating Web Applications, just don’t forget to install VS2008 SP1 and check all the possibilities.
It’s advisable also to look around at Microsoft Israel Site on the developers section and look for my lectures on ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Dynamic Data (on the last Tech-Ed and Developer Academy III).
You can download the Demo Site from here :
Of course you are welcome to drop here any questions and comments
VS2010 Beta has just been available to download, and at near meeting of WDC (Web Developers Community) you’ll be able to see what’s in it for Web developers in terms of ASP.NET 4.0 !
Dan Amiga that had a great “ASP.NET internals” talk last year @ WDC is back with a fascinating session
on the new staff that waits behind the corner. Among the things Dan will talk about, are:
- Enhancements in ASP.NET Core: Scalability, Security, Performance, Cache, .NET 4.0 CLR
- WebForms enhancements : CSS, ClientID, URL Routing
- ASP.NET Ajax enhancements: Templates and Databinding, Dom Manipulation, jQuery Integration
- ASP.NET MVC enhancements: Async controllers, declarative controls
- ASP.NET Dynamic Data: Extenders, Filters, Inheritance support
- Tools: VS 2010, Web Platform Installer, MSDeploy
- IIS 7.5 And the Web Platform Installer
This is a must have session for any Web developer out there (Microsoft or not) to see what’s coming up later on, and how to prepare for that.

Hope to see you there,
