WDC on 01/02/2009 – Monorail
As the world of web development is shifting to development with layers, and heading to MVC, there are few methods to write MVC based
projects, and I’ve been talking about one of them just last month on the WDC (Web developers Community) January meeting.
My talk was about the ASP.NET MVC Framework and I was referring the Beta version. In the meanwhile there came the RC version, and soon enough in a few weeks from now we are going to see ASP.NET MVC Framework V1.0.
On this WDC Meeting, Ken Egozi is going to talk about another alternative way of building MVC projects, that called Monorail which is an open source web application fw built on top of ASP.NET with the inspiration of RoR.
Being around since 2003, having a lot of strength of its own like Scaffolding, supporting different viewing engines, working by default with NHibernate, and some more very cool features, making this framework a fascinating one.
This session will give you the opportunity to look at another direction of developing MVC web apps and judge for yourself what suits you the most, and of course it will help you to better understand the MVC world as a whole.
