Starting to write again...
A busy year and it seems that I was really short in time to write any blog entries, this is why this entry is exactly in a year difference from the previous one. anyway, I plan to write more often, and I hope it will help you all understand my line of thoughts.
Yes, this one is also after Tech-Ed Barcelona… this time after the 2007 conference. On this conference I was working most of the time, proctoring on HOL (Hands On Labs) on 16 different topics from FrameWork 3.5 space, including WPF, WCF, WF, CardSpace, Some of labs where dealing with the DinnerNow project which put all of these technologies together. (Although this project seems being forced to use all these technologies…). Another "mission" that I took on myself was to answer people questions on the ATE (Ask The Experts) booth on the subject of SilverLight. The public interest on this subject and the kind of questions asked, gave a good perspective on what the public thinks about this technology and how it react. About my thoughts on SilverLight I'll write on my next blog entry.
Beside working, I had a great time meeting other MCTs like me (Microsoft Certified Trainers) from all over the world for an MCT dinner that took place on Port Olympic (more than 40 people), and you can get the hang of it here :
It was very interesting to talk about the different material that every education center teaches with, and how advanced every country is, in terms of learning new staff. It appears of course that Israel is very advanced on those terms.
And although I'm not a big football (soccer) fan, it was great going big time and see a champion league game with Alon Fliess and Yochay, drink a 0% beer(this is what they are selling... and it taste like... well... I'll try to stay politically correct) and see approximately 120,000 people going mad :-)
The lectures where great, Alon Fliess lecture about media center was very good and he introduced the application, the MCML language (which I really don't like and wish it was just XAML), and generally the way which the developer can use to build applications into the Media Center.
I also really enjoyed Yochay lecture about Speech Recognition. Yochay amazed the audience with Speech enable applications and the Speech Server. I believe that soon enough we're going to see more voice recognition and Text To Speech application around us.
So what's this blog going to be all about ? it's going to about new technologies, new concepts and about how it all plays together.
Stay tuned...
