Cool tip : use the search result RSS in moss 2007 to aggregate data to your portal
I demonstrated today the MOSS 2007 enterprise search and during the lecture I thought to myself.
Why not to use the RSS search results to aggregate data to some sites\ or portal homepage.
You can use the advanced search to query the portal, then to click the RSS link on top of the search results.
Copy the URL and add the moss rss reader webpart or write your own rss feeder webpart (with caching) then use the link of the RSS.
What do you think? I'll try it tomorrow and provide some screen shoots. right now it is only in my mind and in this blog.
Update: The OOB MOSS RSS reader refuse to get rss that requierd authentication so you can use any custom RSS reader.
