If you are running Hyper-V role on Server Core and want to achieve the version, you can simply run the following command in the command prompt: wmic datafile where name="c:\\windows\\system32\\vmms.exe" get version Enjoy!

זהו, Windows Server 2008 רשמית RTM ! אז, מה זה אומר בעצם? RTM הוא הקיצור ל- Release to Manufacturing כלומר, הגרסה האחרונה / המוגמרת למוצר הנשלחת לשכפול. בדרך-כלל מכריזים עליה מספר שבועות או חודשים לפני השקת המוצר. "הרומן" שלי עם Windows Server 2008 התחיל עוד מגרסת beta 2. עוד שה- Hyper-V נקרא Hypervisor, ורק בידי ה"מקושרים" הייתה את הגרסה הפנימית והנחשקת. זה לא סוד גדול, בניגוד ל-Windows Server 2003, יחסי הציבור ל-Server 2008 הם גדולים בהרבה. יש דוגמאות רבות - אתר Faces שהפך במהרה...
