Microsoft announced today that the name of the next release of SharePoint will be "Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010".
Yes, Office is no longer include in the SharePoint official name, and the reason is that Microsoft wants to
reestablish the Office name and brand it to be synonymous with the client suite.
But don't worry, the integration between Office apps and SharePoint gets even better!
