Kirill Osenkov from the Visual Studio QA team posted a nice and very detailed post on how to debug crashes and hangs.
This post will get you started on how to debug crashes in windows applications using Visual Studio debugger. I recommend you all to read it... Having said that, I must add that this is a simple example and it will only give you the "getting started" knowledge.
