Microsoft’s SharePoint site, has new content for SharePoint 2010. There are 3 “Sneak Peak” videos, one targeted for developers, one for IT Pros, and an overview video.

I must warn you they are pretty long (especially the overview), so prepare for several hours of SharePoint joy.
I have summarized the key new features presented in each video: (click on the pictures to enlarge them)
Overview Video
- Multi Select inside lists.
- Build in silverlight web part.
- Apply Office themes on SharePoint sites.
- Visio Services.
- Redone Interface, very AJAXified.
- BCS – Business Connectivity Services. This is the next evolution of BDC.
- read\write built into it.
- Leverages SharePoint Designer 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 as editing tools.
- Offline support using SharePoint Workspaces 2010.
- External Content Types, and external Lists – CTs and Lists based on BCS entities.
- BCS smart part for Word 2010!
- Live Edit – Like Publishing Field controls from MOSS2007. now part of every team site’s platform.

- New Central Admin Site featuring a new UI.
- Ribbon also in SCA.
- Best Practices Analyzer – Shows you problems in your farm based on prebuilt rules. Has the ability to fix them. Administrator can add custom rules to monitor.
- New SQL server based reports engine. Administrator can create custom reports.
- Large lists now warn users about limitations, and suggests to create smaller views.
- Unattached Content DB Recovery – allows you to explorer, select and restore specific items from an unattached content BD. AWSOME!
- Upgrading preserves the old 2007 interface. After upgrading site owners can choose to upgrade to the new UI.
