• Microsoft Search Server 2008 Express is available for download:

• Microsoft Search Server 2008 will be available for purchase in April (Next month).
  
• The Federation and Administration features of Search Server will be available for download and install on MOSS2007  in Q2 of 2008 as a feature pack.

Just reminding you:

• Microsoft Search Server (MSS) 2008 Express is a free product that provides the basic enterprise search capabilities for the organization.
  
• MSS 2008 is not a free product. It Add High Availability and Load Balancing to MSS Express.
  
• MOSS2007 adds BDC support, people search and of course the other collaborative and productive features of MOSS2007. As for now MOSS is not in line with MSS feature-wise. This will be fixed, as stated, in Q2 of 2008.
