First, thank a lot for coming to my lecture at the BI User group.

שלום לכולם

לאחרונה ביקרתי באחד הבנקים במדינה. מטרת הביקור הייתה ניתוח ביצועים שם SSIS Package. העבודה הייתה די איטית והלקוח רצה לדעת כיצד ניתן לשפר את ביצועי תהליך ה ETL.

יש ברשת כמה מסמכים רלוונטיים.

כמובן שגם צריך לנטר את ה  Performance Monitor counters   שרלוונטיים ל SSIS.

בנוסף צריך לבדוק את ה LOG של ההרצה ולבדוק כמה זמן בדיוק נדרש לסיום כל שלב.

אספתי את כל המסמכים וההמלצות למסמך אחד.  צרפתי אותו כמסמך וורד.

הערות תתקבלנה בברכה.

Agenda for the second meeting of BI User Group, Feb 25^th

Description:

Improving the performances of the Analysis Services is one of the main tasks of the DBA. In this session I will discuss the methodology for monitoring the Analysis Services server performances and how to analyze and resolve the performance bottlenecks.

Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in most cases is a pretty complicated task. In this short training we do the first steps toward real analysis of the bottlenecks.

This is the very same methodology used at the Analysis Services Health Check, a thorough analysis of Analysis Services 2005 / 2008.

תקציר:

אחת המשימות של מנהל בסיסי הנתונים היא שיפור ביצועי שרת Analysis Services. בהרצאה אסקור את המתודולוגיה לניטור ביצועי השרת וכיצד לזהות ולשחרר את צווארי הבקבוק.

בדרך כלל, זיהוי צווארי הבקבוק אינו פשוט. בהרצאה הקצרה הזו אדגים את השלבים הראשונים בדרך לזיהוי אמיתי של צווארי הבקבוק.
