SDP is Over!
The conference is officially over. After giving the last "What's new in WCF v4.0" lecture with Noam (which was recorded and videoed), both of us joined the rest to the experts panel in the main hall, which was also videoed by Sela. Many issues arose- some initiated by the experts, some came from the audience. At some point, Ido , Gil and I re-joined Oren Eini for yet another round at the NHibernate/Entity-Framework arena, where we finally agreed not to agree. I'd just like to exclaim...

Summary of ORM day (2) in SDP
Well, it was a full tutorial day. Full of ORM. After Ido gave his overview and introduction to ORM and EF, Bernie and I had our NHibernate vs. Entity-Framework head-to-head dog fight. Head-To-Head ORMs at the upcoming SDP
Bernie and I are going to do a head-to-head presentation at the upcoming SDP conference, on December 21st. We're going to show Entify-Framework v4.0 on one side (my side), and NHibernate v2.1 on the other side (Bernie's). We will be comparing the two technologies using two projectors, one for each environment running one of the platforms, performing the same acts on each technology and explaining the differences and similarities. Our goal is to help you choose the best ORM for your needs...

Entity Framework over Oracle Database
I gave a leture yesterday in Microsoft as part of a seminar regarding ADO.Net over Oracle DB. My session was titled: "Entity Framework over Oracle Database". The point of my lecture (besides "what is E/F? how do we use it? how does it work?") was to show that, given the right adapters, you can create a working, well modelled data project using Entity Framework, even when your underlying database is Oracle, and not Microsoft SQL Server.
