שגיאה כאשר מנסים לגבות את בסיסי הנתונים של ה–TFS 2008 בעזרת tfsbackup.exe

כאשר ניסיתי לשדרג TFS 2008 + Service Pack 1 ל – TFS 2012 נתקלתי בשגיאה. השגיאה קפצה כאשר ניסיתי להשתמש ב – tfsbackup tool כדי לגבות את בסיסי הנתונים מה – TFS 2008. There was an exception while launching the Team Foundation Backup Tool: Cannot assign a default value to a local variable. חיפשתי פתרון באינטרנט ולצערי לא יכולתי למצוא שום דבר מועיל. עברתי בשלב זה לעבודה ידנית ועשיתי את הצעדים הבאים: צעד 1: צור תוכנית גיבוי ב – SQL Server תחת ה – Maintenance וגבה את כול בסיסי הנתונים הרלוונטיים ל – TFS...

מה עושים עם לא מצליחים למחוק Report Server ישן מה–Scale-out Development

היום ניסיתי לשדרג שרת TFS 2010 ל – TFS 2012 ונתקלתי בבעיה טכנית. כאשר שחזרתי את ה – Reporting Services אחת הפעולות היא להסיר את ה – Server הישן. כמו תמיד נכנסתי ל – Report Server Configuration Window שם ניגשתי ל – Scale-out Development Tab, וכמו תמיד סימנתי את השרת הישן ולחצתי על Remove Server. קבלתי הודעת שגיאה, מה עושים? מכבים את ה – Reporting services על ידי לחיצה על Stop, לאחר מכן ניגשים ל – ReportServer Database. נכנסים שטבלת ה – Keys ומוצאים את השורה עם שם השרת הישן, מוחקים אותה וניגשים להפעיל...

When I started to work with TFS 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 I have thought what more Microsoft can give me when I already have the perfect tools to work with. Microsoft has released the final lab management version , with this version Microsoft has released some fixes and new functionality. Upgrade TFS from RC to RTM

Now that the RTM was released the "upgrade season" has started. The upgrade process is very simple just a few uninstalls and reinstalls and you are done. It is very important to backup the TFS before you start and if you cannot backup the all server at least backup the Databases.
