&lt;p&gt;my laptop crashed and the only restore discs that i had were from my moms old laptop. and the bloody key got rubbed off. thanks to you i mannaged to get into vista and install windows 7.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;thanks a million man! you saved me a lot of time, perhaps money, and most importantly a lot of stress!&lt;/p&gt;

Just click on the &amp;quot;reduced functionality&amp;quot; link and a web browser starts. &amp;nbsp;Type in C:\Windows\Explorer.exe and run it. &amp;nbsp;Bam.. Explorer. Just don&amp;#39;t close the activation window or it will log you off.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Change your IP address, whatever.. or run &amp;quot;slmgr /rearm&amp;quot; and get another 30 days.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I wasn&amp;#39;t trying to break the activation, I was only trying to access my computer to change its network settings and THEN activate it. So, I guess it might stop working after 21 days, I just didn&amp;#39;t have the time to test it out myself. But I will. Thanks for the feedback.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
