Hi,

Is this only possible with the Publishing Site Infrastructure?

I'm working on a intranet site using SP 2010 Foundation so no Publishing Site Feature/Infrastructure.

The "Data Sources" is not being displayed in SP Designer 2010.

Is there any other way?

Hi - This was great! I got it to work when trying to display from another site collection on the same server, but could not get it to work when trying to display a library on another server. Do you know if it should work in theory? The message I am getting in the Data Source Deatils window is "The server returned a non-specific error when trying to get data from the data source. Check the format of your query and try again. If the problem persists, contact the server Admin.

Hi..but foe me 'Advance Mode' is showing disable, even i have given all permissions to myself in site.

I do not get this information in any of the Modify View windows:

Drill down to the bottom of the page, where you will find the list ID and the view ID.

THANK YOU! It's just one of those million things in Sharepoint that makes you go hmmmmmmmm. I was sitting here thinking my IT had blocked me from editing some parts of my page. I was *this* close to calling them for help but decided to look it up. Glad I did, b/c this was EASY! Thanks!!
