“WOW” that what came out of my mouth when I finished running my first
Team Build 2010.
It looks like almost all our wishes came true … (we still got our work to do
but its much easier).
Here are some of the great features in Team Build 2010:
- Build Controller – manages a “pool” of our well known build agents.
The end of looking for free (or the least busy) agent ….
you just send your build request to the controller and it manages the queue
between agents.
[Update] Worth's special post.
- Gated CheckIns – only changes that didn’t break the build are checked in.
The end of build failure and looking for someone to blame ….
- Properties Window – when editing build definition.
The end of looking for the right properties and right syntax …
- Readable Hierarchy Build Log – build steps appear Hierarchy and you
can easily know and understand the build process structure.
The end of searching through 100+ MB of text file …
- Build Task Properties – shows inside every task the initial parameters.
The end of messages base debugging to view parameter’s value…

The end of editing undocumented XML without really predefined schema…
I must admit that I am really exiting from the great upgrade in the whole build process.
So I’m really waiting impatience to the official release .
