So this is kind of a live blogging from the PDC09’s keynote. Bottom line, as I’ve suspected no big announcements in today’ss keynote. But… it might be for the best, Microsoft focuses on maturing many projects that were discussed on last year PDC. I can separate this session into 2 distinct parts. While talking about the theory Manu managed to do a great job, he was very clear, his points were sharpened and well understood, I think anybody on the crowd understood what is the purpose of Azure, What it will do for them and why do they need it, even if it was only for a very specific usage such as a web application hosting. Dan's lecture promised a lot, I carefully reviewed the slides prior of the event, and decided to go to this lecture, first it promised the most advanced issues and second I so far scratched the surface of Ajax and it is good opportunity to learn more on this. Dan stated the lecture with good pace, moving swiftly into the architecture of the Web model. I think he should have elaborated more on this subject, it would be a very critical point of the lecture to keep the audience well understood what...

Like some of my colleagues, I too prefer to go sessions made by non-Israeli guests, and Ron Jacobs reputation is well ahead of him, note the ARCast show he been running in the past. Well Ron is a good lecturer, funny, honest and smart but or he wasn't prepared or a very extreme case of bad luck happens to him, because the presentation just didn't take off. A plague of problems varying from screen resolution, unresponsive IIS to non-working demos. And boy the demos where supposed to be simple...

I believe in telling the truth, I think that a genuine building critics when it is delivered in a professional way is very important for both sides. I think that the blogging platform puts us in a unique position where our thoughts and criticism can be heard up. Even an experienced lecturer may err and each and everyone us can learn and improve. Maybe because of the natrue of live blogging, criticism is more impulsive but the issues are still there. I have been to good lectures and bad ones, but...

Well, Noam make his music act, today with a crazy funky electronic saxophones (I hope I am not wrong with that). Noam choose an hard stuff for this demo. Noam introduced two brand new technologies that are still half-baked and smell like Atlas CTP, Dynamic Data and MVC. Second day, and it is a better day. First I am feeling much better, the keynote headache is gone, and I got enough energy to get me trough the day and the party of course. Hello guys, Today I've participated on a one day seminar about Data Mining and BI for enterprises. The day was part of a European tour of the one and only Rafal Lukawiecki, it's appear he is delivering this day almost every day now and each time at a different country, I was really impressed by that, the man doesn't rest and basically speaking he has high levels of energy during his show, sustaining the crowd during hard periods, and as important with a smile and a wicked sense of humor...
