Thoughts...

I've just been asked, what means the icon on "Save" button...

For some time I tried to understand what this question means, and finally understand it: we have new generation of users, who NEVER seen 3.5'' FDD!!!

Tried to explain what is it, but faced misunderstanding why needed something comparable to size of PDA which stores only 1.44Mb, while there is flash storage with 2-4Gb on about  finger size...

Shocked... Scared... Should I mention also 5.25'' FDD's and magnetic tapes???

You should have told him that once we even used 9" floppy disk that held the amazing amount of data, 120KB and we could HACK them by punching a hold and store data on the unused second side of the disk.

My first HD had the unbelievable size of 30MB and failed once every few months had 2 partitions due to the lack of support in MS DOS 5.0 for partition bigger then 20MB

Yeah, I also did holes with hot rusty nail on 3.5'' floppies to make "convert" them from 720K to 1.44Mb :) Once, 1.44Mb was HUGE amount of data...

Quite an era that was... I was so proud on my 20mb hd in my amiga. But it did store loads and loads of data (well, in my memory it did...) And now i need huge amounts of space just to be able to have an os on my machine. Those good old 80's!
