Sheleg

June 27, 2008

Well I guess I should have done this earlier, but it turns out I only got around to it now… How do you write a eulogy to a best friend? I’m afraid I don’t know, so instead, I’d like to just talk to you about him. Sheleg, a mixed breed, came to our home about 7 years ago, when he was about a half a year old. He had passed quite a few owners in Beer Sheva, where my brother was studying for his second degree. My brother took pity on him, but as he...

BI Governance – How to Manage BI in Your Company

June 21, 2008

This week, I had the great pleasure of going to the 19th Annual Regional Conference which Gartner was holding in Tel Aviv. The subject was “Driving Profits and Performance with ICT”. Well I didn't know the answer as I admit it never happened to me, (sigh of relief), but the question did bother me enough for me to try and research it a bit more on the internet. And yes, I'm happy to say there is more than...

SQL Server 2008 RC0 Has Been Released!

June 7, 2008

Yes, you read it right! SQL Server 2008 Release Candidate 0 is out! I guess I should have known as much as it is Tech Ed North America right now, and Buck Woody did say that they’re planning the next release just for that occasion… But I knew Tech Ed had already started and didn’t hear anything about it in the media so obviously I thought they didn’t make it in the end – wrong! It’s currently available just for TechNet Plus subscribers (does that make this offer more enticing all of the sudden?). For more details, please check...
