Hi, my name is Ella Maschiach and I am a System Analyst and OLAP Developer. I Have supervised over several BI projects.
During the time I have gained vast experience in Business Intelligence tools and methodologies. Kimball‘s books are the main stream books with which I work.
Among these books are The Data Warehouse Toolkit: The Complete Guide to Dimensional Modeling (Second Edition) and The Microsoft Data Warehouse Toolkit: With SQL Server 2005 and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Toolset. Having my Masters from the Management School in Tel Aviv University, she strives to excel herself to higher positions.

As every first lesson in programming goes, I have decided to make my first post quick and easy, a small appetizer to start your taste buds and also let me just slowly dip my feet in the water, before diving in…

So who am I? (A very good question btw)

I have studied Industrial Engineering in the Tel Aviv University, majoring in Information Systems. That paved the way to work in the field of BI. I started off as a system analyst following the Kimball discipline. I have slowly built myself up to a place where I supervise over my very own projects. I am currently working with an SQL Server 2005 Platform and using Panorama web access reports. In my previous work place I have worked with Business Objects which resided on an Oracle DB.

I’m here to share my knowledge and experience in the BI field.

Hope to see you next time,
